The Tranquille sewer project makes senseโ€”it's what AAPs have typically been used for in the past.

At the same time, how do you feel about moving ahead with the McMaster land purchase for Civic Opsโ€”while the RCMP detachment remains overcrowded?

We believe public safety needs should have come firstโ€”not arts and recreation projects like the PAC and Multiplex.

โ€ข 965 McMaster Way: City has already purchased the 9.77-acre property for equipment, materials, and operations. 7 acres will remain leased to Westcan for up to 20 years.

Taxpayer borrowing: Up to $16.75M (over up to 30 years)

โ€ข Tranquille Phase III: Final phase of sewer main replacement, including road and pathway upgrades.

Taxpayer borrowing: Up to $9M (over up to 30 years)

This week, KCU notified the City that all 4 of their online AAP forms were sending submissions to the wrong email addressโ€”directing some responses to legislate@kamloops.ca instead of KamloopsAAP@kamloops.ca (a new address as of these AAPs).

Residents who unknowingly submitted to the wrong address were told their forms might not be counted unless re-sentโ€”and some may not have re-submitted.

In light of this, we asked that the AAP be restarted.

The City responded only that the links have now been fixed, but did not address those submissions or restart the process.

๐€๐ง ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง:

If you want to submit an AAP response, you can do so through the Cityโ€™s websiteโ€”but thereโ€™s a simpler way.

A local resident has created a submission service that prepares and sends your response for youโ€”and the City will accept these submissions.
