NSBIA Calls for Change After Overdose

by | Oct 28, 2025 | Addiction, City Hall | 0 comments

KCU supports the NSBIA’s call for coordinated change—action that connects people in crisis to care in real time. We also support Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson’s motion for an independent audit of taxpayer-funded harm-reduction/drug housing facilities, and recommend that Council approve it at the upcoming Nov 4th council meeting.

Both highlight what Kamloops needs most: accountability, coordination, and measurable results that save lives and strengthen community safety.

KCU calls on the City of Kamloops to strongly advocate to the provincial government for the coordinated action our community deserves.

Power comes when people align for a common goal.
